Class Etiquette
Spin
Class Etiquette
Because
we follow the following guidelines, Body Benefits is
able to provide the most satisfying and productive spin
classes in Mississippi!
1)
Please be on time! Classes will begin on time and end
on time.
2) Class will be closed to latecomers 5 minutes after
class has begun. Warming-up is extremely important.
You get the most benefit from the class and avoid injury
if you warm up properly.
3) All spinners MUST wear heart rate monitors.
4) Spinners MUST drink water during class. (The guidelines
are 40 ounces for every 40 minutes on the bike.) Avoid
dehydration – Drink Up!
5) Spin shoes should be put on IN the spin room, not
before. The cleats will damage wood floors 100% of the
time.
6) Your bike is your FRIEND. Spinners MUST clean their
bikes after class. No exceptions. To clean your bike,
release all resistance from the flywheel, raise the
handlebars and seat, and move the seat forward. Clean
the sweat off all chrome and plastic parts and the flywheel
with the club-provided cleaner.
7) Don’t chew gum during spin class. This is the number
one cause of bike damage and can render the bike unusable.
Also, if you inhale your gum, you could asphyxiate!
8) If you prefer one bike over another, please arrive
in time to ensure you get the one you like. If someone
else has gotten it first, please quietly choose another
bike. It may have a better view! :-)
Thanks
for showing your respect of others by adhering to these
guidelines.
Everyone
appreciates your cooperation!
Mutual respect and cooperation is what makes Body Benefits
special!
